My first experience with Acupuncture was during my fertility journey nearly 18 years ago, I tucked a thought away... after this experience "I want to learn to do that."
I had uterine fibroids and I used acupuncture as part of my regimen to help me heal my womb and start my family. I used acupuncture, a diet reset, exercise, massage and alternative therapies.
To the surprise of my OB/GYN, I had 3 daughters and continued over the years to live a healthy lifestyle with nutrition, massage, acupuncture and exercise as part of my life.
In the past 5 years, I began to have some perimenopause symptoms and the GYN suggested having surgery and I rebelled again. I sought out Acupuncture, this time I was even more curious and that urge nudged me again. I wanted to learn this medicine. The pandemic put a fear about stability in the massage industry, yet I still wanted to continue to help people heal from within.
I knew could do that with Acupuncture.
I worked with my Acupuncturist as I was headed into perimenopause, she helped to regulate my cycles in a few months and that was all the convincing I needed to take the leap to apply for Acupuncture school. Today I am feeling blessed that I completed my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Graduating May 2024. It was a long hard road and the self-sacrifice as well as the sacrifice my family had to endure makes me emotional and proud that we made the three years and 4 months work so I could reach this goal. The benefits that I have experienced in my personal health and the many ways I have gleaned from my research and clinical experience of my patients, I want to share Acupuncture with my community.
What is Acupuncture? Acupuncture is an amazing medicine that is capable of treating various physical, mental and emotional conditions.
